In 1974 we started breeding, training and showing Australian Shepherds. We were very luck to have gotten our foundation dogs from long time breeders that had excellent dogs and alot of valuable knowledge and information, which, they were kind enough to share. Without their careful breeding and help we would not be where we are today in our breeding program. We have an enormous respect and love for the breed and believe that quality and not quantity is most important in breeding the best Aussies we can to carry on the legacy of the past dogs and their breeders. We have one to two litters per year and sometimes none when we are in the midst of showing and training. Our pups are whelped in the house with plenty of outside exposure and are exposed to many types of stimuli so that they are better able to adapt to what ever they may encounter. We believe that structure, intelligence, temperament and proper breeding are the keys to producing the versatile Aussie. We feel it is essential and as much as possible to match the personality of the pup to their new owners needs and desires. Our Odyssey dogs are bred for quality, versatility, companionship and not solely for their dollar value. When we place any Aussie in a new home it is the beginning of a commitment from Odyssey to assist in any way that we can and share what we have learned over the years.
